The Erskine Academy Environmental Club sponsored a bat house construction workshop on May 27.
Students used upcycled wood materials to construct four chamber bath houses in an effort to protect bats.
The environmental club initially hosted a talk on bats by Chewonki in March and learned about diseases and changes to the environment that threaten the species. They then decided to learn how to build houses to protect the mammals.
They chose to use used materials donated by a member of the community, to save costs and further their mission of waste reduction.
