FARMINGDALE — Three different players scored as Hall-Dale defeated Waynflete 3-1 in boys soccer action Saturday.
Keegan Carey, Caleb Lerette and Jaxon Olsen each had a goal for the Bulldogs (2-0-0). Collin McArthur and Davis Madore chipped in with assists and Ben Nathan made eight saves.
Lucas Plumb and Jacob Woodman scored for Waynflete (1-1-0).
RICHMOND 2, ST. DOMINIC 1: Zander Steele and Hunter Mason each had a goal to lift the Bobcats to the win in Richmond.
David Edwards made five saves for Richmond (1-0-0).
Garrett Kendall had the goal for the Saints (0-1-0). Connor Cyr stopped 10 shots.
GIRLS SOCCER
WAYNFLETE 3, HALL-DALE 0: Lucy Hart scored all three goals in a three-minute span in the second half as the Flyers won in Portland.
Lydia Birknes assisted on one of Hart’s goals for Waynflete (2-0-0).
Leah Noon made four saves for the shutout. Hall-Dale’s (1-1-0) Audrey Gilbert stopped nine shots.
RICHMOND 2, ST. DOMINIC 1: Ella Briand scored both goals to lead the Bobcats to the win in Richmond.
Breonna Dufresne added an assist for Richmond (1-1-0) while Autumn Lane made 10 saves.
Charlie Apodaca scored the goal for the Saints (0-1-0) and Anna Theriault stopped nine shots.
FOOTBALL
SACOPEE VALLEY 46, MOUNT VIEW 26: The Hawks scored 38 straight points in the second quarter after falling behind 20-0 as they won an eight-man Small School opener in Thorndike.
Sacopee recovered three onside kicks during its second-quarter surge. Tyler Easterbrooks passed for two touchdowns, then had two long TD runs – 64 and 43 yards. He also rushed for three conversions and passed for two.
Mount View’s Wyatt Evensen returned the opening kickoff for a touchdown, and short TD runs by Anthony Mathous and Bo Spaulding extended the Mustangs’ lead to 20-0 early in the second quarter.
Sacopee’s Bradly Metcalf returned a punt 79 yards for a touchdown in the third quarter.
Mount View got its final TD on a 34-yard reception by Antonio Vieira in the fourth.
