NORTH ANSON — The family of David Ela has donated some of his genealogy books to Stewart Public Library.
Ela was a long-time trustee and treasurer of the library before he moved out of state.
His interest in family genealogy has given the library many useful genealogies and genealogy research resources. This latest donation includes the 12-volume set of “The Great Migration” and 15 volumes of “Mayflower Families,” according to a news release from the library.
The library is open for research from 10 a.m. to noon and from 1-4 p.m. Tuesdays and Wednesdays, and from 10 a.m. to noon Saturdays at 37 Elm St., or by appointment.
Ancestrylibrary.com is also available at the library, allowing patrons free access to U.S. and Canadian records.
