The 47th annual Common Ground Country Fair is scheduled to be held Friday to Sunday, Sept. 22-24, at the Maine Organic Farmers and Gardeners Association’s Common Ground Education Center in Unity.
The fairgrounds are open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday and Saturday and from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.
MOFGA plans to host food vendors, a new yoga tent, the big-top fine art and craft tent, exhibitors and activities centered around sustainable living, children’s activities, farmers’ markets and more.
Live entertainment will include Noel Paul Stookey, David Mallett, Tim Sample, Mehuman, Hambone, Sara Trunzo and the Waterville Senior High School Orchestra.
This year’s iconic fair design by Maine artist Rebekah Lowell featured on posters, T-shirts, bags and more to commemorate the event.
Keynote speakers including Ryan Parker, a board member for Full Plates Full Potential and the Maine School Garden Network, a leadership council member for Maine Farm to Institution, and a cofounder of the Maine Farm & Sea to School Institute; Clarissa Sabattis, tribal chief of the Houlton Band of Maliseet Indians; and Jaclyn (Jac) Wypler, a farmer mental health advocate with Cultivemos (also known as the Farm and Ranch Stress Assistance Network Northeast).

Fair admission will cost $15 through Sept. 20, $20 Sept. 21-24, $15/$20 for senior citizens, $12/$15 for youth 13-17, free for children 12 and younger. Tickets must be reserved even for free tickets. Tickets are non-refundable. For tickets, visit mofga.org/tickets.
