FARMINGTON — Mt. Blue pulled away with four second-quarter goals in a 6-0 field hockey win over Hampden on Tuesday.
Kali Judkins put Mt. Blue (6-1) up 1-0 in the first period. The lead ballooned to 5-0 via goals from Bree Griffin, Morgan Hersey and two in a row by Alyssa Parker. Judkins and Griffin assisted on Parker’s goals.
Lily Huntley added a goal in the fourth. Cougars goalie Gwen Lesperance finished with five saves.
Hampden’s (1-7) Jada Bilodeau made 23 saves.
GARDINER 1, ERSKINE ACADEMY 0: Macy Hickey’s goal 1 minute, 46 seconds into the second half made the difference as the Tigers (6-3) won in South China.
Natasha Marshall made six saves in goal for Gardiner, while Andra Cowing had 12 for Erskine (1-8).
BOYS SOCCER
RICHMOND 8, TEMPLE ACADEMY 0: Hunter Mason had two goals and two assists as the Bobcats earned the easy win in Richmond.
Kenny Meacham had two goals and an assist for Richmond (6-1-0), while Zander Steele, Ben Fournier, Kaulin O’Brien and Brady Alexander each had a goal. Steele had two assists and Meacham and Fournier had one each.
Finn Foster made three saves in goal for Richmond, while Nathan Corey had 14 for Temple (2-5).
ERSKINE ACADEMY 7, LEAVITT 0: Landon Lefebvre scored four goals as the Eagles (7-2) won handily in South China.
Holden McKenney added three goals for Erskine, and keeper Noah Pelletier made nine saves.
Vanya Bezhemar had eight stops for Leavitt (1-8).
GIRLS SOCCER
MEDOMAK VALLEY 4, WATERVILLE 2: Scarlett Flint scored twice as the Panthers (5-1-2) won in Waterville.
Grace Townsend and Haley Puchalski also scored for Medomak Valley, while Townsend, Kytana Williamson, Ella McLean and Haylee Chandler had assists. Keeper Chloe Fox had seven saves.
Sadie Williams had a goal and an assist for Waterville (5-4), and Mara Von Oesen also scored. Lexie Van Der Westhuyzen had four saves in goal.
RICHMOND 2, TEMPLE ACADEMY 0: Ella Briand scored both goals as the Bobcats (5-2) earned the shutout in Richmond.
Breonna Dufesne added an assist for Richmond, while keeper Autumn Lane made six saves.
Devon Tanner had 12 saves for Temple (5-4).
CAMDEN HILLS 4, MT. BLUE 0: Britta Denny netted a pair of goals in the Windjammers’ shutout in Farmington.
Grace Westbrook opened the scoring 10 minutes into the first half, and Leah Snyder added another goal 10 seconds before halftime for Camden (6-1-1). Denny scored twice in a 2-minute, 38-second span in the second half. Snyder assisted on Denny’s second goal.
Mt. Blue (2-4-0) goalie Destiny Hensley stopped nine shots, while Camden Hills’ Maddy Tohanczyn tallied three saves.
