St. Albans-based nonprofit SKILLS, Inc. sponsored several individuals from the organization to attend the Speaking Up for Us statewide conference, held Sept. 19-20 in Waterville.
The group — Irene Corbin, Laurie Boutelle, Suzie Gross and Roberta Lessard — joined peers from across the state to discuss and learn about self advocacy.
Speaking Up For Us is run by and for adults who live with developmental disabilities, according to a news release from Ana Campos-Hluska, director of development of SKILLS, Inc.
