AUGUSTA — Save Your Breath, a chipped time 5K race/walk, is set to begin at 8 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 14, at Kennebec Valley YMCA, 31 Union St.
A virtual run or walk is available for those who can’t make it to the live event. The race runs along the Kennebec Rail Trail to Hallowell and return. Doors open at 7 a.m., and the walk begins at 8 a.m. and the run at 8:30 a.m.
A $100 cash prize will go to the top overall male/female, as well as a $25 cash prize for top male/female age group.
Lamey Welleham gift cards are available for second and third place age groups.
A silent auction also is planned.
