An evening of paranormal sleuthing is planned at the Augusta Colonial Theater with Central Maine Ghost Hunters on Saturday, Oct. 28, at 139 Water St. in Augusta.
Those who attend can take in some history and learn how to use actual ghost hunting equipment, then join the team on a special ghost hunting mission inside the theater.
People can pick one of three times to join some ghost hunter training and a tour in search of paranormal phenomena: 5, 6:30 or 8 p.m.
Tickets cost $40 each, which includes introductions, a brief training in the ghost hunting equipment that will be used, and a guided tour with the Central Maine Ghost Hunters. Ghost hunting groups are small; tickets are limited.
The theater is not yet operational. Safety measures are in place, but there are no climate controls in place, nor is there running water, so attendees should dress appropriately for the weather and plan restroom use accordingly. Hand sanitizer will be available. Doors will open approximately 10 minutes before ghost hunts begin.
Due to the nature of this event, it is suggested that all minors be accompanied by a parent or guardian and that all participants agree to sign a waiver. Specific details will be sent to ticket holders.
