Fear is such a strong motivator. Like horses running back into a burning barn, some will twist themselves into knots to avoid logic.
Recently I was texting with a longtime friend, now in Florida, who has gone MAGA. I mentioned that in relation to the recent Lewiston shooting, perhaps we needed a few more “good men” with guns.
He questioned my facetious meaning, and that we have so very many reports, nearly every day now, of innocents getting killed by assault weapons. Yet almost no reports of good people on the scene with a gun to help. Perhaps we should at least put some limits on the tools designed only to kill people.
He replied that it was the fault of the “leftist media” who won’t write or talk about the many good guys.
