Rocky Gravel and Peter Drapeau deserve reelection to the Winslow Town Council. When they were first elected, Winslow faced some tough financial issues.

First, they restored the town’s fund balance to an appropriate level. As a result, the town’s bond rating was restored to AAA, saving taxpayers thousands of dollars in interest on long-term municipal bonds.

They also authorized increases in pay for employees, which will help Winslow retain its valued workers.

They approved budgets tripling funding for road maintenance. The town’s roads had fallen into serious disrepair due to underfunding by previous councils.

Finally, they took on the difficult task of a town-wide reevaluation, which had been postponed by the previous council. It is always difficult to be on a town board during a reevaluation; but it had to be done due to lost monies from state revenue sharing.
