In September, SWC President Bonnie Chamberlain of Skowhegan and SWC Secretary Sharon Adams of Norridgewock donated several bags of stuffed animals, organized by children’s ages, to offer comfort to children in times of crisis, whether as a result of a house fire or as a result of being separated from their families. These items aim to help the most vulnerable children cope during a difficult time in their lives, according to a news release from SWC board member Mary Cayford.

In October, SWC Secretary Sharon Adams and Cayford met a group of firefighters at the station to donate trays of treats, homemade by members of the club. This donation was an expression of appreciation to them for fighting fires and protecting homes from damages or total destruction, and family members from injury or death.
