AUGUSTA — Augusta Adult and Community Education, in collaboration with MaineGeneral Health, recently introduced its Earn While You Learn initiative for multilingual learners. This program aims to empower multilingual students by offering educational opportunities while gaining practical experience within the healthcare industry.

Dr. Kayla Sikora, director of Augusta Adult and Community Education, played a key role in securing support through the Strengthening Maine’s Workforce grant. The program kicked off with an orientation event for multilingual students.

“The collaboration between Augusta Adult and Community Education and MaineGeneral Health embodies our commitment to fostering educational excellence while addressing workforce needs within our community,” stated Dr. Kayla Sikora, according to a news release from Augusta Adult & Community Education.

The first class is scheduled to begin Tuesday, Jan. 16.
