WINDHAM – Troy Lee Olson, 40, was born April 16, 1983, in Farmington, to Paul and Beverly Williams Olson. He lost his life due to a tragic accident on Dec. 18, 2023.
Troy was a very energetic and loving boy. Troy played baseball and ran cross country. He was very proud when his team won the Central Maine Cross Country Championship in 1997. Troy attended Maranacook Community School and graduated in 2002. He graduated from Southern Maine Community College in 2012 with an associate degree in information technology. There, he tutored other students. Upon graduation, he was employed by Goodwill Northern New England. Later going on to get his computer engineer certificates and moving up to Software Developer 1.
Troy and his wife, Liz lived in Windham with their dog, Miette.
Troy liked to draw, was creative with making figures from clay and making You Tube videos. He liked to fish, and he loved Nintendo. He taught himself to play the guitar.
Troy leaves behind his wife, Liz, his parents, Paul and Beverly, his sister, Tammy (Curt Dunn), two nephews, Cobey Joe and Xander Paul Dunn and many uncles, aunts and cousins. Also, he was predeceased by his grandparents Clyde and Lois Williams and Carl and Hilda Olson.
Services will be held Dec. 31, at 12 p.m., at the First Baptist Church, 321 Pond Road, Mt Vernon with a gathering following at the Mt Vernon Community Center, 2 North Road.
