BAR HARBOR — A Maine utility reported that more than 1,000 customers lost power in Bar Harbor and Ellsworth areas on Saturday morning, but power was restored by late afternoon.
Emera Maine said the outage affected 1,325 customers in Hancock County on Saturday morning. The utility reported the outages were in Bar Harbor, Ellsworth and Trenton.
The cause of the outage had not yet been identified.
Emera Maine’s owner, which is located in Nova Scotia, announced earlier in the week that it has reached an agreement to sell its interest in the power company to another Canadian firm.
