AUGUSTA — Police are descending on the Walmart off Civic Center Drive after a man reportedly robbed the pharmacy inside the store.
The man entered the store shortly before 1 p.m. and handed a pharmacy employee a note demanding prescription medication and indicating he had weapon, according to emergency dispatch reports.

The robber may have fled behind the store and a police dog is now tracking the robber.
The robber was described as a young, white man about 5 feet 7 inches tall. He was reportedly wearing a blue coat and a blue baseball cap.
