JACKMAN – Sandra J. Everett of Jackman died after a courageous battle with cancer on April 13, 2021, at Redington Fairview General Hospital in Skowhegan at the age of 82.
She was born in Presque Isle on Nov. 11, 1937, the daughter of the late David O. and Flora Duncan. After many years of living in Presque Isle and later in Waltham and Marlborough, Mass., Sandra and her husband Herbert I. Everett, moved to Jackman, Maine, where they spent many happy years, in an area they both loved. She enjoyed fishing very much and until recent years, she and Herb would spend almost everyday fishing the local waters of Jackman. She also enjoyed very much, the daily rides around the area, in search of wildlife.
Sandra was a talented musician growing up in Presque Isle, playing in the band and participating in the AllState Choral group at PIHS. She was also a soloist for many years at the First Congregational Church in Waltham, Mass. While living in Waltham, she was a school traffic officer for many years, worked at Brigham’s and the Waltham Super Market.
She was predeceased by her brother, Roger Duncan.
In addition to her husband, Herb, she is survived by her children, David M. Spencer of Derry, N.H. and Malcolm (Marc) Spencer of Marlborough, Mass., as well as stepchildren, Frank Everett, Curt Everett Sr. and Janine Everett. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
There will be a private family service at a later date at Whipple Cemetery, Jackman.
