GARDINER — There will be no overtime magic for the Gardiner boys lacrosse team this time around.

A year after winning an overtime thriller in against Yarmouth, the Tigers lost 10-0 in the Eastern B semifinals at Hoch Field on Saturday morning.

The memory of that 7-6 loss in the semifinals was a memory the Clippers held onto heading into Saturday’s game.

“Last year they beat us on our home field,” Yarmouth attack Bart Gallagher said. “We’ve been looking to play them all year, and we weren’t sure we’d get a chance because of the playoffs. It was a good opportunity to play a strong team like Gardiner.”

No. 3 Yarmouth improves to 9-5 and advances to play the winner of North Yarmouth Academy vs. St. Dom’s in the regional final Wednesday. The Tigers end the season 12-2.
