HALLOWELL — Cynthia Ahlstrin of Winthrop recently won the People’s Choice Award at the conclusion of Art 2012, the Harlow Gallery’s 17th annual juried art show. Visitors were invited to vote for their favorite work of art. Ahlstrin won a $100 cash prize, sponsored by the Animal Wellness Center of Augusta, for her sculpture “Every Shoe Tells a Story.”
Judith Schuppien of Pittston won second place for her oil painting “Harbor Market.” Schuppien received a gift membership to the Kennebec Valley Art Association, the nonprofit organization that owns and operates the Harlow Gallery.
