After its successful return to Deertrees Theatre in Harrison last week, the Sebago-Long Lake Music Festival announces its second and third concerts for the summer series. “Still Celebrating Beethoven’s 250th” is the theme.
The performances will feature the following works:
July 20
MOZART: Piano Trio in G Major, K. 564
FRANÇAIX: Trio à cordes
BEETHOVEN: Piano Trio in B-Flat Major, Op. 97, “Archduke”
July 27
BARRIÈRE: Sonata for Two Cellos in G Major
AMY BEACH: Piano Quintet, Op. 67
BEETHOVEN: String Quintet in C Major, Op. 29, “Storm”
The Festival is renowned for diverse and high-quality concerts performed by world-class musicians. This summer’s nationally recognized performing artists include Min-Young Kim and Keiko Tokunaga, violin; Laurie Kennedy and Matthew Sinno, viola; Mihai Marica and Bonnie Thron, cello; Jared Egan, double bass; and Yuri Funahashi and Mihae Lee, piano.
In addition to our three live concerts at Deertrees, the Festival has five On-Demand Streaming performances for viewing from anywhere. Although our in-person season is shorter, it has allowed us to prepare the Streaming performances for those not yet ready to return in person. The On-Demand or Streaming performances can be viewed from home on the “opening night” or for nearly a week afterward at your convenience. Opening nights for the Streaming performances are the five Wednesdays between July 14 and Aug. 11.
