SALEM — Charlie Pye and Cam Walters each scored a goal as No. 1 Mt. Abram defeated No. 8 Maranacook 2-0 in a Class C South boys soccer quarterfinal Wednesday.
Kaden Pillsbury and Wyatt Sieminski added an assist apiece for the Roadrunners (13-0-2), while Ian Allen made six saves. Mt. Abram will host No. 4 Monmouth Academy (12-2-2) in a semifinal game Friday.
Marancook’s (5-7-1) Tim St Pierre made 10.
GIRLS SOCCER
RICHMOND 5, TEMPLE 0: Alana Hixon and Lila Viselli each scored twice to lead the No. 4 Bobcats to the Class D South quarterfinal win in Richmond.
Nicole Tribbet had the other goal for the Bobcats (8-4-0) while Breonna Dufresne added two assists. Liz Johnson made four saves for Richmond, which will play at top-ranked NYA in the semifinals on Friday.
Sofia Krasous stopped 15 shots for No. 5 Temple (4-5-0).
FIELD HOCKEY
SKOWHEGAN 5, CAMDEN HILLS 0: Laney LeBlanc had two goals and two assists to lead the top-ranked River Hawks to the Class A North quarterfinal win in Skowhegan.
Layla Conway added one goal and two assists for Skowhegan (15-0-0) while Norie Tibbetts and Ellie Quinn each had a goal. Lanie Vanedestine made 11 saves. The River Hawks will host No. 5 Messalonskee in the semifinals.
Jess Hodgkins stopped 20 shots for Camden Hills (7-8-1).
HALL-DALE 1, OAK HILL 0: Lexi Chartier scored 10 minutes into the game to lift the fifth-seeded Bulldogs to a Class C South quarterfinal victory in Lewiston Tuesday night.
Averi Baker assisted on the goal for the Bulldogs (4-9-2), who next play No. 1 Winthrop Saturday at Thomas College. Kelsey Cormier made five saves.
Sierra Lane made four saves for the Raiders (5-9-1).
