Unity Business Exchange will celebrate its 6th annual Yuletide Celebration with a four-day series of events.
The celebration will begin as holiday spirit fills the room at the Star In The West Lodge #85 Masonic Lodge with its first Yuletide Festival of Trees from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday through Saturday, Dec. 2-4, and from 10 a.m. to noon. Sunday, Dec. 5, at 327 Main St.
Area businesses have donated decorated trees, creating a wonderland tour indoors. Those who attend will have an opportunity to win one of these trees with the purchase of raffle tickets. The Festival of Trees is a fundraiser for local business development through UBx, as well as furthering the mission of local nonprofits. Winners will be drawn at the Yuletide Celebration Sunday evening.
The Yuletide Parade of Lights will roll into Unity at 5 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 5, announcing the start of the holiday celebrations, and bringing Santa and Mrs. Claus to the center of town. The parade begins at the Unity Fire Station on School Street, turns onto Main Street and proceeds down Depot Street, ending at the Depot Country Store.
The evening peaks with the Yuletide Celebration from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Sunday, Dec 5, along Depot and Main streets.
Free admission includes opportunities for caroling, complimentary photos with Santa and Mrs, Claus at the gazebo, treats and watching Santa kick off the season by lighting the trees downtown. The Market of Unity will be at the church parking lot with local artisans, craftsmen, farmers and organizations.
