BANGOR — Top-seeded Presque Isle took the lead for good in the second quarter and went on to a 52-40 victory over No. 2 Nokomis in the Eastern B girls basketball final Saturday afternoon at the Bangor Auditorium.
Nokomis led 12-8 when forward Marissa Shaw (14 points, eight rebounds) picked up her second foul with 7:29 left in the second quarter. Shaw sat the rest of the half, and Presque Isle outscored the Warriors 17-5 in that stretch.
Kelsie Richards added 10 points for Nokomis, all in the second half. Hannah Graham led Presque Isle with 13 points.
