RICHMOND — Kiara Briand scored nine points to lead the Richmond girls basketball team to a 32-25 win over St. Dominic in a Mountain Valley Conference game Thursday night.
The Bobcats (7-2) managed to keep the Saints (2-5) scoreless in the second quarter on their way to victory.
Jessie Zimmerman scored the game-high 12 points for St. Dom’s.
VALLEY 59, GREENVILLE 30: Madeline Hill scored 19 points to lead the Cavaliers to a win over the Lakers in an East/West game in Greenville.
Emily Collins added eight points for Valley (8-0).
Greenville falls to 1-6.
BOYS BASKETBALL
WINTHROP 64, MADISON 43: Andrew Foster scored 15 points to lead the Ramblers over the Bulldogs in Madison.
Braiden Bramigan scored 13 points, while Tyler Shumway added eight points for Winthrop (5-0).
Callan Franzose led Madison (4-5) with 19 points.
MT. ABRAM 83, WISCASSET 14: Adam Luce scored 21 points to lead the Roadrunners to an MVC win over the Wolverines in Strong.
Wyatt Siemenski scored 15 points, while Kaden Pillsbury added 12 points for Mt. Abram (3-5).
Jevar Garricks scored five points for Wiscasset (0-8).
DIRIGO 58, CARRABEC 57: Charlie Houghton dropped 43 points to lead the Cougars in North Anson.
Trent Holman added six points for Dirigo (8-2).
Luke Carey led Carrabec (7-3) with 18 points, while Daniel Handley scored 16 points. Connor Peabody added 10 points for the Cobras.
ST. DOMINIC 53, RICHMOND 34: Taylor Varney’s 15-point performance helped steer the Saints (6-1) past the Bobcats (3-6-2) in Richmond.
St. Dom’s Gabe Carey scored 13 points and Noah Cyr contributed his 10 points.
Max Viselli dropped in the team-high nine points.
GARDINER 53, MORSE 25: Kalvin Catchings had 20 points and 13 rebounds for the Tigers in a Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference win in Bath.
Ryan Moore added 11 points and nine rebounds for Gardiner (2-5).
Gabe Aucoin paced Morse (4-3) with 12 points.
VALLEY 37, GREENVILLE 29: Fisher Tewskbury scored 15 points to lead the Cavaliers in Greenville.
Harry Louis scored 10 points, while Ryon West added six points for Valley (5-3).
Greenville falls to 1-4.
