NORTH HAVEN — Winnie LaRochelle scored 13 of her game-high 29 points in the first quarter as Rangeley cruised past North Haven 72-33 in a Class D girls basketball game Friday.
Cheyanne Avery added 15 points for Rangeley (4-1), which led 27-2 after one quarter. Emily Eastlack filled the stat sheet with nine points, six steals and six assists.
Isabelle Haskell led North Haven (1-3) with 11 points and Layla Sparhawk pitched in with eight.
BOYS BASKETBALL
LISBON 55, WINTHROP 42: Levi Tibbetts scored 22 points to pace the Greyhounds to the Mountain Valley Conference win in Winthrop.
Mason Booker added 10 points for Lisbon (8-2) while Caden Boone scored eight.
Winthrop (7-2) was led by Bradon Stubbert with 14 points. Logan Baird chipped in 12 while Andrew Foster had 10.
RANGELEY 78, NORTH HAVEN 30: Four players scored in double figures to pace the Lakers (1-4) to their first win of the season, downing the Hawks (0-4) in North Haven.
Malcolm Balch poured in a game-high 24 points, Boden Washington scored 18, Anthony Whittier 17 and Chase Carmichael 12 for Rangeley.
Bret Waterman led North Haven with 16 points.
SPRUCE MOUNTAIN 53, OAK HILL 38: The Phoenix pulled away in the fourth quarter and secured the MVC victory in Wales.
Jace Bessey led the way with 24 points for Spruce Mountain (9-0).
Ian York tacked on 13 points for the Phoenix with eight coming in the first quarter. Owen Bryant scored 10, as well.
Jackson Arbour led Oak Hill (5-5) with 17 points, while teammate Caden Thompson added seven.
