As college students across the state prepare to begin the school year in a couple weeks, Maine Water has announced the recipients of its 2022 scholarship program. As part of Maine Water’s commitment to the local communities served, scholarships were awarded to 15 students in 15 of the towns served by Maine Water. Students who will be attending two or four year college programs in the fall were selected through their high school guidance office and awarded a grant of $500 each, according to a news release from the Saco-based company.
“Looking at this group of students makes me excited for the future of Maine,” said Mark Vannoy, Maine Water Company president. “Congratulations to the recipients — all of us at Maine Water are cheering you on as you take on new adventures!”
The students include Lydia Fay of Biddeford, Rebekah Ireland of Bucksport, Joshua Kohlstrom of Camden-Rockport, Brady Grogan of Freeport, Ethan Anderson of Greenville, Cameron Bains of Union-Warren, Kiley Sue Meader of Oakland, Madison Randlet of Hartland, Erin Stevenson of Rockland-Thomaston, Eleanor Jordan of Kezar Falls, Riley Shea of Scarborough, Joey L Ramsdell of Skowhegan, Samantha McGreevy of Millinocket, Carter Illingworth of Saco and Laci Hall of Old Orchard Beach.
