This election season is not very pleasant to watch, particularly the television commercials for the various political candidates. What seems like the majority of them criticize an opponent’s character. Very few either explain a candidate’s prior accomplishments or what the candidate will support if elected or reelected. It is not surprising considering how politicians in Washington behave nowadays.

Just a thought, but maybe there would be less division in this country if candidates and political organizations that support them were to do what my mother taught me when I was a child. It is really quite simple. If you do not have anything good to say about someone, do not say anything. Simply disagreeing with another person’s position on a certain topic is not finding fault with that person.
