WINSLOW — Jason Reynolds scored 38 points and had 17 rebounds to lead the Winslow boys basketball team to a 64-55 win over Presque Isle in its season opener on Saturday.
Andrew Poulin added 19 points for the Black Raiders (1-0).
Malachi Cummings led the Wildcats with 23 points.
HALL-DALE 69, CARRABEC 42: T.J. Wilson scored 22 points to lead the Bulldogs to a Mountain Valley Conference victory over the Cobras in Anson.
Carter Bourque and Jackson Leach joined Wilson in double figures with 18 points and 14 points, respectively. The Bulldogs (1-0) also got six points from Zach Brown, two points each from Lucas Breton, Nick Brown, Keegan Carey and Matt Waller and one from Malachi McCormick.
Luke Carey led the way for Carrabec (0-1) with 18 points. Joel Gehrke (six points), Bobby Lindblom (five points), Logan Caldwell (four), Colby Carpenter (four) and Desmond Robinson (three) also contributed for the Cobras.
ORONO 74, MCI 57: Cihan Guzeltas scored 11 points for the Huskies in a loss to the Red Riots in Pittsfield.
Drew Shorey added 10 points for MCI (0-1).
Pierce Walston led Orono (1-0) with 26 points.
FOREST HILLS 82, VINALHAVEN 31: Mason Desjardins scored 39 points to lead the Tigers to a win over the Vikings in Jackman.
Blaine Nadeau and Cooper Daigle each added 12 points for Forest Hills (2-0).
Trey Goodrich had 15 points for Vinalhaven (0-2).
GIRLS BASKETBALL
FOREST HILLS 44, VINALHAVEN 18: Allie Dunning scored 15 points and had eight steals to lead the Tigers to a win over the Vikings.
Hailey Welch added 10 points and nine steals for Forest Hills (2-0).
Makayla Boody had eight points for Vinalhaven (0-2).
