OAK HILL 4, DIRIGO 3: The Raiders were declared the winners of the MVC game in Wales by forfeit when, in the bottom of the fifth inning, the Cougars put in a relief pitcher who didn’t have enough days rest.
According to the Maine Principals’ Association’s baseball bulletin, a pitcher who throws 96-110 pitches must rest for four days before pitching again. The Dirigo reliever threw 100 pitches on Thursday. Stowell said Dirigo’s mistake was unintentional.
