SKOWHEGAN — The Skowhegan Free Public Library will celebrate its 125th anniversary with a weeklong Art Show opening Thursday at the library on Elm Street. The work of more than 30 local artists will be exhibited. Included will be paintings, jewelry, pottery, fabric, wood creations, cross stitch, photography, quilted and felted art and more. All items will be available for purchase with a portion of the price donated to the library’s renovation fund.
Some of the participating artists include Peter Foxwell, Rick Anzelc, Milt Christiansen, Bernie Beckman, Lynn Perry, Lynda Quinn, Kathy Perelka, Heather Kerner and David Tessier. The show will be open 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Monday-Wednesday. Admission is free.
