PITTSFIELD — Ashlee Jarvis scored both goals to lead Maine Central Institute to a 2-1 win over Lawrence in field hockey action Thursday.
Charlotte Peaslee and Hannah Weaver each had an assist for the Huskies (4-4). Chi Chi Rivera made five saves.
Kiera Day scored for the Bulldogs (4-3), while Abbey Stewart stopped four shots.
GIRLS SOCCER
MT. BLUE 2, MOUNTAIN VALLEY 0: Abby Dorr and Natalee Orr scored for the Cougars in their victory in Farmington.
Alaya Smith assisted on Dorr’s goal and Kari Savage set up Orr’s. Mt. Blue (3-5-0) outshot the Falcons 17-1.
Kloee Pelletier made 15 saves for Mountain Valley (3-6-1).
BUCKFIELD 2, TEMPLE 0: Brittany Carrier tallied a goal and an assist for the Bucks (7-1) as won in Waterville.
Carrier set up the goal scored by Cora Brewster for Buckfield (7-1-0).
Buckfield goalie Kianna Finnegan made six saves, while Karissa DeWitt stopped 10 shots for Temple (5-5-0).
EDWARD LITTLE 2, MESSALONSKEE 0: Layla Facchiano scored one goal and set up the other as the Red Eddies (3-3-1) shut out the Eagles (3-6) in Auburn.
Freshman Hope Fontaine scored Edward Little’s other goal.
BOYS SOCCER
EDWARD LITTLE 3, MESSALONSKEE 1: Dayow Daud netted a hat trick as the Red Eddies went on the road to win in Oakland.
Daud scored two of his goals in the first half, when Edward Little (5-3-0) took a 2-1 lead, and added an insurance goal in the second half. Ben Cole and Shukri Hassan each notched assists.
Luke Parks scored Messalonskee’s (2-5-2) goal and Andrew Beckwith made eight saves for the Eagles.
