The paintings of Lewiston residents Susan and Paul Boucher are on display for the month of October in the Woman’s Hospital Association Rotating Art Gallery at Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston.
Art is an integral part of Paul’s life and has been for almost fifty years. His style combines a sense of realism with his own style. Painting mainly in oils, he also works in acrylics. He has studied under various artists, but is essentially a self-taught artist. Some of his favorite subjects are loons, Maine birds and New England scenes.
A retired teacher, Susan has been interested in some kind of art most of her life. Painting predominantly in watercolor, she now has expanded her field to oils and acrylics. She has an endless fascination with her subjects: the undulating shapes of flowers, children, and woodland scenes and loves the challenge of painting new subjects.
The works on display may be purchased through the WHA Gift Shop located adjacent to the main lobby at Central Maine Medical Center. A percentage of sale proceeds benefits patients of CMMC.
