Join Waterville Creates, the Colby College Museum of Art, the Waterville Public Library, and the Children’s Discovery Museum, as they celebrate the magic of the season with Joy to the Ville on Saturday, Dec. 2.
In addition to the activities listed below, the following exhibitions will be on view throughout the day: Holiday Bazaar at Ticonic Gallery + Studio and Bill Morrison: Cycles and Loops at the Joan Dignam Smaltz Gallery of Art, according to a news release from Waterville Creates.
All activities are free and open to all, and are located at the Paul J. Schupf Art Center at 93 Main St., unless otherwise noted.
• 9:30 a.m.: Waterville Moves: Parent + Child: free dance and movement for parents with kids 5 and younger
• 10:30 a.m.: Waterville Moves: All Ages: free intergenerational dance and movement workshop
• 11 a.m.-2 p.m.: Hands-on mobile exhibits from the Children’s Discovery Museum
• Noon: “The Grinch” free on screen at the Maine Film Center
• Noon-4 p.m.: Create your own Luminary for the Winter Solstice
• 1-4 p.m.: Kringleville, visits with Santa at Castonguay Square on Main Street
• 1 p.m.: Earth Jams music with Matt Loosigian at Waterville Public Library at 73 Elm St.
• 2-4 p.m.: Diwali celebration and art making with students from the Colby South Asian Association
• 7:30 p.m.: The Glen Miller Orchestra at the Waterville Opera House at 1 Common St; for tickets, visit watervillecreates.org
