If I wanted to borrow some money from a bank and use my house as security for the loan, the bank would obtain an appraisal of the proposed collateral. The bank wouldn’t accept my statement as to value.
If the Trump Organization seeks a loan, the bank, it seems, will accept the organization’s statement as to value.
