RICHMOND — Izzy Stewart had 30 points, nine rebounds and four blocks as the Richmond girls basketball team claimed a 44-38 victory over Monmouth Academy on Friday.
Breonna Dufresne added five points and five assists for Richmond (5-2) while Lila Viselli added five rebounds and three assists.
Kaitlyn Frost had four 3-pointers for 12 points to lead Monmouth (0-6).
VALLEY 63, CARRABEC 48: Liana Hartwell had 23 points and six assists as the Cavaliers won in Bingham.
Brianna Mills added 10 points and eight rebounds for Valley (7-0) and Surata Wright had seven rebounds and eight steals.
Molly Hay had 19 points to lead Carrabec (2-3).
BOYS BASKETBALL
LAWRENCE 65, GARDINER 54: The Bulldogs rallied from a nine-point halftime deficit to earn the Class A North win in Gardiner.
Dane Zawistowski led all scorers with 25 points for Lawrence (3-2) while Gavin Lunt had 13 and Cole Quirion 11.
Gardiner (1-6) was led by Zach Kristan with 16 points and Anthony Rivera and Brayden Elliott with 11 each.
BOYS HOCKEY
MESSALONSKEE 5, CAMDEN HILLS 4: Owen Kirk paced the Eagles with two goals and an assist in the win at Bonnefond Ice Arena in Kents Hill.
Grayson Podey chipped in with a goal and two assists in the win. Tatum Doucette scored the game-winner and had an assist for Messalonskee (4-0-0). Garrett Card also scored for the Eagles.
Tyler Hansen set up two goals for the Eagles, and Hunter Hallee made 15 stops in the win.
Billy Kurzius led Camden Hills (4-3-0) with two goals and two assists, and Owen McManus scored twice. Blake Christie had a helper.
Ollie Sawitsky and Quinn Hoppin combined to stop 28 shots in the loss.
