Journalism at its best — or not. The front page of the Morning Sentinel’s local section on July 31 featured large picture with two children jumping in a puddle of water.

In the lower right corner of the back page, very small article with small print: “$39M in revenue at fiscal year’s end.” The story was about the state running a surplus under the management of Gov. Paul LePage.

Is there something backwards about this format or just another attempt at opinionated left-wing print? What ever happened to reporting the news? Especially good news?
