EAST WINTHROP — The Friends of the Cobbossee Watershed will hold their fourth annual Spotter’s Sprint canoe and kayak paddle at 10:30 a.m. Sunday on Cobbossee Lake.
The paddle will start at the YMCA Camp of Maine in East Winthrop, and covers a 1.5 mile course. Registration will begin at 9 a.m. There will be single and tandem races for multiple age categories. Following the race, a cookout lunch will be provided by the YMCA Camp.
Families and all ages and experience levels are welcome. The cost is $20 per person or $25 the day of the race. The cost for lunch only is $6. The camp has canoes and kayaks available to rent.
