For the past three years, a small group of mentors and I have offered a robotics program at Gardiner Regional High School. Our program is not funded by RSU 11; we operate solely through grants and contributions.
Rep. Gay Grant, D-Gardiner, has been one of the greatest fans of our Iron Tigers from the start. Not only has she personally contributed to the program, she also sought out grants from two of our primary funders. Gay understands the importance of offering young people the opportunity to expand their computer skills and technical knowledge. It’s fair to say that without Gay’s support we would not have been able to participate in last year’s district competitions.
The team and mentors want to express our sincere thanks to Grant, who is seeking re-election in House District 83, for her continued support of the Iron Tigers.
