I am writing to enthusiastically support Monica Castellanos, Democrat from Augusta (District 86), for the Maine State Legislature.
Monica is a Mainer, an accomplished small business woman, an active leader in our West Side Neighbors organization and serves on the board of the Kennebec Valley Humane Society. As the father of a daughter who will be entering Augusta’s public school system in a few short years, I am most impressed with her commitment to public education. Monica has been endorsed by the state’s largest education organization, the Maine Education Association. She believes, like I do, that we need to work together — teachers, parents and kids — to support strong local public schools. When it comes to supporting public education, Monica is the best choice for Augusta.
