I am writing in support of Alice Elliott, a Democrat from Richmond, for House District 55 (Richmond, Bowdoin, and Bowdoinham).

Alice grew up in Maine, and developed her work ethic helping in her father’s small-town hardware store. She supports investment in small businesses, as an engine of economic development and job creation, and to build up our main streets.

Alice is also a master gardener, which she accomplished through the UMaine Extension Service. Investment in Maine farms for food security and as a source of jobs and economic development is important to her, as is her commitment to education in all its forms.

Because Elliott understands Maine people, and what drives us, and because she has seemingly boundless energy for her commitments, she is very well suited to represent us in the Legislature.
