The Kennebec Valley Garden Club is accepting applications from students or teachers who are entering or enrolled in a horticulture or environmental program. The Barrows Fund Scholarship, ranging from $500 to $1,000, will be given based on scholastic ability, financial need, civic contributions and acceptance to an accredited school, according to a news release from the garden club.

Applicants must reside in Kennebec County. Applications can be obtained from area school guidance offices, student financial aid offices or at mainegardenclubs.org.
