Chamber of Commerce to host show March 21 in Farmington
FARMINGTON — The Franklin County Chamber of Commerce will host the 21st annual Home and Leisure Show from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, March 21. The event will take place at the Mt. Blue Campus. Admission is $1, and free for children 12 and younger. The event is a showcase of Franklin County businesses and organizations including banks, building suppliers, media, health care, realtors, florists and service industries, according to a news release from the Chamber of Commerce. Giveaways and door prizes will be offered during the show.
Entertainment includes performances by two Mt. Blue High School musical groups, the Flipsides and the Franklin County Fiddlers. Tickles the Clown will entertain visitors young and old. Stop by the show from 10 a.m. to noon to see an alligator, hedgehog, red-footed tortoise, armadillos and some giant Madagascar hissing cockroaches from the Pony Xpress Zoo.
Exhibitor spaces are still available. To reserve a space, call the Chamber office at 778-4215. Exhibitor spaces include a 10-foot by 10-foot space, a table and two chairs. The Chamber needs to know if power is needed. Vendor set up is from 4 to 6 p.m. Friday, March 20, and 6:30-8:30 a.m. Saturday, March 21. Vendors are required to remain set up until the end of the show at 2 p.m., according to the release.
The Chamber Partners include Dead River, Franklin Savings Bank, Hammond Lumber, Walmart and Skowhegan Savings Bank. Media Partners are Sun Media Group — Sun Journal and Franklin Journal, 99.3 WKTJ, Daily Bulldog, The Mix 107.9, Turner Publishing and the Morning Sentinel.
