Farmington police are seeking a 41-year-old man who allegedly attacked his girlfriend early Friday morning and used a knife to destroy property in the home they shared.
Police said Jonathan Nurse assaulted the woman, destroyed a flat-screen TV in the residence and used a butterfly knife to damage other property at the 825 Holley Road address, while insisting that the woman not call police.
The woman managed to leave the property with her young child and her brother and was able to contact police. Farmington officers said Nurse had fled the scene before their arrival. A search of the area near the home with the help of Franklin County sheriff’s deputies was unsuccessful.
Police have obtained an arrest warrant for Nurse on domestic violence assault and criminal mischief charges. They have asked that anyone with information about Nurse’s whereabouts call Farmington police at 778-6311.
