Valedictorian is Kevin Thomas Chamberland, salutatorian is Lilly Marie Beauregard, the following eight seniors, listed alphabetically, are Dakota Jack Carter, Mitchell Dale DeBlois, Hope Lindsay Dunn, Teresa Ellen Easterbrooks, Joseph Evan Fay, Logan Lattin, Taylor James Morang and Matthew Philip Sekerak.

Chamberland, son of Greg and Parise Chamberland, of Winthrop, played tennis and soccer, senior captain. A member of the Latin Club and Math Team, he was named freshmen class treasurer, sophomore class president and National Honor Society president. Outside of school, Chamberland takes piano lessons.

He plans to attend college and major in mechanical engineering.

Beauregard, daughter of Andrew Beauregard and Sarah Prescott, of Winthrop, has led a well-rounded school career. She played soccer, softball, basketball and was junior/senior manager and senior captain. Lilly also ran cross-country, senior captain. She has been a member of the Concert Band and attended the Kennebec Valley Music Festival. Lilly has worked her way through the ranks of Student Council being named freshmen representative, sophomore treasurer, junior vice-president and senior president. She was named to the National Honor Society.

Outside of school, she has been a lifeguard and swim instructor.

Lilly plans to attend the University of New England, majoring in pre-pharmacy.

Carter, son of Jeremy and Christina Carter, of Winthrop, has been a tri-sport athlete all four years playing varsity football, senior captain; basketball, senior captain; and baseball. Dakota was a member of the band and a member of the math team and Latin Club. He is a member of the National Honor Society.

Outside of school, Dakota coaches youth basketball for the YMCA. He has been involved with several fundraising campaigns including for UNICEF and the local food pantry as well as others to benefit school and local sports teams. Dakota has also worked on a number of community service projects including the high school’s annual Day of Caring.

Dakota plans to attend Springfield College, majoring in health science/physician assistant program.

Mitchell, son of Dale and Trudy DeBlois, of Winthrop, has been a tri-sport athlete at Winthrop playing varsity football, senior captain; JV basketball and track. He was named freshmen class president and sophomore vice-president. Mitchell was in Drama Club and Latin Club. He was named student representative/athlete representative to the School Board and also serves as vice-president of the National Honors Society.

Outside of school, Mitchell is a member of Friends of Cobbossee Watershed Youth Conservation, an organization dedicated to improving area lakes, ponds and streams.

Mitchell plans to attend Maine College of Health Professions at Central Maine Medical Center, studying radiologic and nuclear medicine technology.

Dunn, daughter of Jeff and Karen Dunn, of Winthrop, has led a well-rounded high school career playing soccer and softball. She has been a member of the Art Club, French Club, Drama Club, math team, Maine Youth Voices and Prom Committee. Hope is a member of the National Honor Society.

Outside of school, Hope has participated in the Cancer Society Relay for Life and was involved in placing flags on graves on Memorial Day and sending Valentine cards to the elderly. She has prepared food in a soup kitchen.

Hope plans to attend the University of New Hampshire, majoring in business administration with a focus in accounting and minoring in hospitality management.

Easterbrooks, daughter of Robert and Linda Easterbrooks, of Winthrop, is a very active student in school and in the community. She is a member of the Latin Club, senior president; and math team, sophomore/junior co-captain and senior captain. Teresa is a member of the FIRST Robotics Team and the team’s Spirit captain, and is the National Honor Society’s secretary. She has served as a sophomore class officer and was involved in a One-Act Play competition. Teresa was a track and field athlete. For three years, Teresa was an assistant at Senior Class Night.

Outside of school, Teresa was involved in a community theatre production of “Godspell.” She is a clarinetist for her church choir, a Red Cross Student Leader, LEGO League junior coach and is involved in Friends of the Cobbossee Watershed.

Teresa plans to attend college and major in biology.

Fay, son of Brendan and Michele Fay, of Winthrop, has been involved in variety of activities throughout his high school career. A member of JV basketball, junior captain; and varsity basketball. He has been on the varsity baseball team and the golf team. Joe is a member of the Latin Club, Drama Club and has been a theatre lighting technician. He has also been in Art Club and band.

Outside of school, Joe is a junior firefighter with the Winthrop Fire Department, and in Boy Scouts. He has been a youth basketball volunteer and was a fourth-grade mentor.

Joseph plans to attend Hofstra University, majoring in secondary mathematics education.

Lattin, son of Harmony Lattin, of Winthrop, and James Lattin, of Rockland, has been a member of the AAME group, advocating for student and young adult issues in Maine.

Logan has been involved with martial arts and has been a camp coach for the Riverview Foundation for the past four years. Logan is also involved with and organization involved with local and state park clean-ups.

Logan plans to attend Husson University, majoring in nursing.

Morang, son of Keith and Kelly Morang, of Winthrop, has been involved in several activities all four years. An avid golfer, junior and senior captain. Taylor was named the MVC Golf Player of the Year in 2013 and 2014. Also in 2014, he was named as the Kennebec Journal Golfer of the Year and one of the Top 10 Golfers in Maine by the Portland Press Herald and played in the State Individual Championship all four years. He has been on the varsity basketball team, captain; and in 2015 he was named to the MacDonald and MVC All-Star basketball team. Taylor has been in the Latin Club and was named to the National Honor Society.

Outside of school, Taylor has been a youth basketball coach.

Taylor plans to attend Franklin Pierce University, majoring in sports management.

Sekerak, son of Philip and Darcy Sekerak, of Winthrop, is a tri-sport athlete playing soccer, junior and senior captain; basketball, and junior and senior captain; and baseball. Matthew has also been involved with the One-Act Play Competition and the Latin Club and math team.

Outside of school, Matthew and his family has been a host family for a foreign exchange student. He has coached middle school basketball practices, and been a member of the Unified Basketball Team. Matthew has participated in fundraisers for UNICEF and the ALS Walk.

Matthew plans to attend Wentworth Institute of Technology as a business major.
