RICHMOND — Cody Tribbet scored a game-high 28 points to help eighth-seeded Richmond get past No. 9 Searsport 68-53 in a Class C South boys basketball preliminary game Wednesday.
Matt Holt added 18 points while Zach Small chipped in with 12 points and 10 rebounds for Richmond (12-6), which will face No. 1 Dirigo in a quarterfinal contest at 9:30 p.m., Monday at the Augusta Civic Center.
Eric Phillips had 18 points for Searsport (12-7) while Troy Reynolds finished with 13.
BOOTHBAY 43, HALL-DALE 34: The Seahawks were 7 of 8 from the free throw line in the final minute to pull away for the win.
Kyle Ames scored a game-high 21 points to lead No. 6 Boothbay (12-7), which will play No. 3 Madison in the quarterfinals at 4 p.m., Monday.
No. 11 Hall-Dale was led by Tyler Nadeau with 11 points. The Bulldogs finish their season at 11-8.
CLASS D SOUTH
NO. 8 RANGELEY 69, NO. 9 FOREST HILLS 59: The eighth-seeded Lakers opened up an 18-9 lead after the first quarter and held on from there for a win over the No. 9 Tigers in a Class D South preliminary game in Rangeley. The Lakers (8-11) will now face No. 1 Valley Saturday at 1 p.m. at the Augusta Civic Center.
Devon Clark led four Rangeley players in doubles figures with 18 points. Kyle LaRochelle had 16 points, Carl Trafton notched 15 points and Ricky Thompson added 10.
Dalton Gregoire paced Forest Hills (8-11) with 23 points, Carson Veilleux scored 13 and Jack Hoyt chipped in with 10.

CLASS C SOUTH
No. 7 Carrabec 58, No. 10 Hyde 38: Kate Stevens scored a game-high 17 points to lead seventh-seeded Carrabec to a Class C South preliminary round win over No. 10 Hyde.
Liberty Chestnut added 14 points for the Cobras (12-7) while Mickayla Willette chipped in with 12. Lutes Bartlett led Hyde (6-12) with 13 points
