FARMINGTON — A Franklin County grand jury handed up 36 indictments this week, including those against a Kingfield man and a former Waterville man who are accused of providing alcohol and marijuana to two teenage girls in Kingfield in May.
Scott Leo, 27, with a last known address in Waterville, and Scott McLean, 24, of Kingfield, were each indicted on two counts of aggravated unlawful furnishing of scheduled drugs, Class C. Additionally Leo was indicted on two counts of furnishing liquor to a minor, Class D, and one misdemeanor count of violating conditions of release.
McClean was also indicted on one count of furnishing liquor to a minor, Class D, and one count of allowing a minor to possess or consume alcohol, Class D.
The charges are in connection with an incident in May, when the men allegedly met two 16-year-old girls at a park in Kingfield and invited them back to McLean’s apartment where the two men allegedly gave the girls Fireball whiskey, Twisted Teas and marijuana, according to court documents.
An indictment is not a finding of guilt, but a determination that there is enough evidence to proceed with a trial.
