SKOWHEGAN — Annie Cooke scored 19 points to lead the Skowhegan girls basketball team past rival Mt. Blue 48-36 in a Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class A game Wednesday night.
Lindsey Warren added eight points for Skowhegan (13-4).
Hannah LeClair scored nine points to lead Mt. Blue (5-12) while Rebecca Harmon chipped in eight.
MESSALONSKEE 61, BANGOR 39: Sophie Holmes had 24 points and five steals to lead the Eagles over the Class AA Rams in Oakland.
Ally Turner added nine points, six rebounds and three assists for Messalonskee (17-0) while Gabrielle Wener hauled in nine rebounds.
Bangor (8-9) was led by Katie Butler with 18 points.
MADISON 55, WISCASSET 28: Sydney LeBlanc scored 14 points and Lauren Hay added eight points and 10 rebounds to lead the Bulldogs to the Mountain Valley Conference victory.
Emily Edgerly scored nine points for Madison (13-5) as well.
Hayhlee Craig scored 12 points to lead the Wolverines.
WATERVILLE 41, MORSE 20: Jordan Jabar scored 20 points and hauled in 14 rebounds to lead the Purple Panthers in Waterville.
Sadie Garling added nine points for Waterville (9-8) while Maddi Martin had eight rebounds.
Morse (5-12) was led by Sierra Wallace with 10 points.
RANGELEY 49, ISLESBORO 15: Natasha Haley had 25 points and 14 rebounds to lead the Lakers at Kennebec Valley Community College in Fairfield.
Sydney Royce added 14 points, five assists and six steals for Rangeley (15-3).
Sanni Cohn led Islesboro (1-13) with seven points.
RICHMOND 53, VALLEY 16: Sydney Tilton had 17 points and 12 rebounds to spark the host Bobcats to the East/West Conference win.
Mackenzie Abbott added 15 points for Richmond (18-0).
Valley (4-14) was led by Hallie Miller with six points and Haven Mayhew with five.
BOYS BASKETBALL
BANGOR 61, MESSALONSKEE 52: Ian Nagle scored 20 points to lead the Class AA Rams in Bangor.
Damien Vance added 16 points for the Bangor (6-11), while George Payne scored 11 for the Rams.
Nate Violette led Messalonskee (12-5) with 25 points.
SKOWHEGAN 61, MT. BLUE 53: Marcus Christopher scored 21 points as the Indians pulled away in the third quarter in Farmington.
Garrett McSweeney added 12 points for Skowhegan (9-8).
Cooper Hollingsworth led Mt. Blue (1-16) with 16 points.
ISLESBORO 52, RANGELEY 44: Jon Bareford was one of four Eagles in double-figures in the victory at Kennebec Valley Community College in Fairfield.
John Gotham added 12 points for Islesboro (7-8).
Ricky Thompson had 16 points and six rebounds for Rangeley (7-11).
UNIFIED BASKETBALL
WATERVILLE 77, WINTHROP/MARANACOOK 70: Dakota Moore scored 20 points and Jessica Williams added 18 to lead the host Purple Panthers to the win.
Joseph Libby-Cornette chipped in 13 points for Waterville (2-1).
Malcolm Lavallee led Winthrop/Maranacook (1-1) with 16 points while Brandon Norton scored 10 and Lucas Thompson and Brooke Murray each had eight.
