WATERVILLE — Sustain Mid Maine Coalition’s annual meeting is scheduled for 8:30-10 a.m. Saturday, March 18, in the Silberman Lounge part of the Cotter Union at Colby College.
Stephen Kahl, associate professor of science and sustainability liaison at Thomas College, will be the keynote speaker.
Kahl is not affiliated with any specific energy company. His talk “The Business and Economic Case for Renewable Energy NOW” will focus on specific — and hopeful — information about transitioning to renewable energy.
Attendees can question Kahl, discuss energy issues and even become part of the solution if so moved.
For more information, contact Linda Wood at sustainmidmaine@gmail.com or 680-4208.
After the meeting, attendees are encouraged to attend a free Home Energy Fair in the Page Commons part of Cotter Union at Colby College. Up to 25 exhibitors can help homeowners learn about options for energy efficiency, energy audits, rebate programs, solar energy, pellet boilers, heat pumps, insulation, green home design and biofuels.
