BUDGET: Residents voted to approve the municipal budget of $658,696, an increase of $103,598 or 18.7 percent over the previous budget. The increase was mostly due to a new annual $100,000 bond payment the town approved last year for paving projects.

MAJOR ITEMS APPROVED: Town Clerk Rebecca Gray said all items in the town warrant passed during the meeting. Some of the major items included appropriating an extra $50,000 from the paving accounts to pay down the bond more quickly, granting the selectmen permission to exercise an option with the Penobscot Energy Recovery Company and sell the town’s share of it back for $4,474, and authorizing the town to enter into an agreement with PERC for solid waste disposal in 2018.

MAJOR ITEMS REJECTED: None.
