Camp Sunshine received a $910,000 check Sunday from Tropical Smoothie Cafe at a presentation at the camp’s Casco facility.

The camp provides free year-round retreats to children with life-threatening illnesses and their families.

Tropical Smoothie, a national restaurant franchise with more than 600 locations, has given more than $5 million to Camp Sunshine over the years and regularly sends employees to volunteer at the camp.

The camp offers families entertainment, recreation such as sledding and swimming, arts and crafts, medical and psychosocial support and other services.
