AUGUSTA — About 140 Erskine Academy students graduated Friday night at the Augusta Civic Center.
The South China private school handed out diplomas to students in blue and white gowns after a keynote address by Susan M. LaGasse, an honorary alumna. Erskine also recognized its salutatorian, Kayla Hubbard, and its valedictorian, Caleb Tyler.
Musical selections during the ceremony included “Lean on Me,” performed by Miranda Carey and Gabriella Pizzo; and “River Grove Reflections,” performed by the Erskine concert band.
Headmaster Michael McQuarrie conferred diplomas and scholarships along with John Nored, president of the school’s board of trustees.
